1. International standardization of operating technique.

2. Further development by application of new meshes and fixation techniques.
   
3. Continued education – organisation of seminars and workshops, especially
   in Eastern Europe, developing countries, and newly industrialized countries.
4. Organization of multicenter studies to solve special questions of
   surgical techniques.
   
5. Representation of laparoscopy within insurance companies in
   order to achieve acceptance and adequate financing.
   
6. Developing of Guidelines in endosurgery of inguinal hernia.
